Jane Birkin & Serge Gainsbourg

Pensar en Jane Birkin, es pensar también en Serge Gainsbourg, es pensar en una de las mejores parejas que han existido. Y como suele pasar en este tipo de parejas, sus vidas no fueron para nada convencionales, como tampoco lo fue su historia de amor.

Jane, londinense nacida en el 46, enfocó desde el principio su carrera a la interpretación. Hasta que con 22 años conoció a Serge Gainsbourg, un artista dieciocho años mayor que ella, que en aquel momento ya había vivido el fracaso de dos matrimonios y un affaire con una de las mujeres más famosas del momento: Brigitte Bardott, quien rechazó la canción más bonita del mundo: " Je t´aime...moi non plus"porque su marido no aprobaba que una mujer como ella apareciera cantando una canción tan erótica.

Y es que, el destino ya había elegido quién cantaría esa canción. Cuando Jane, esa chica de flequillo y dientes grandes pero guapísima, perfeccionó su francés y protagonizó con Gainsbourg la canción más erótica conocida, saltó a la fama con la misma rapidez con la que crecía el amor entre la pareja.

Serge consiguió pulir como un diamante a Jane, cambiando su forma de vestir y moldeándola a su gusto.

Tras muchos años de relación, un periodo dorado en sus carreras artísticas y una hija en común: Charlotte, su relación terminó. Jane cansada de su vida, se casó con el director Jaques Doillon. Y Serge, con una salud y aspecto muy empeorados, moriría años después a los 63 años. Jane Birkin, aún así, nunca lo abandonó y se mantuvo muy cerca de él hasta el final.

If you think in Jane Birkin, you can´t avoid to think in Serge Gainsbourg too, because they were one of the best couples ever. And as often happens in this kind of couples, their lives were not conventional, and neither was their love story.

Jane, was born in 1946, in London, she focused her career in acting, until she met Serge Gainsbourg when she was only 22 years old. He was an artist eighteen year older than her, and had experienced the failure of two marriages and a short affaire with one of the most famous women of that moment: Brigitte Bardot, who rejected the world´s most beautiful song " Je t´aime...moi non plus" because her husband didn´t accept  the appearance of her wife singing such a erotic song.

But destiny has already choose who will does. When Jane Birkin, the girl with fringe haircut and big teeth but so beautiful, learned french and sang that song with Gainsbourg, shot directly to fame, and also their love.

Serge Gainsbourg polished Jane as a diamond, changing her way of dress, and her style. After many years, a golden period in their careers and a daughter in common: Charlotte, they relation ship ended. 

Jane, tired of that way of life, decided to get married with the director Jaques Doillon. And Gainsbourg, with a worse health and appearance, died years later with 63 years old. In spite of this, Jane Birkin never left him, and she remained very close to him until the end.

Uno de mis últimos descubrimientos ha sido que las cartas también vuelan.

Esta sencilla pero genial postal sólo requiere rellenar la lámina de madera con un mensaje y meterla en su sobre para enviarla como cualquier otra carta tradicional, pues será la persona que reciba la carta, la que tendrá que montar después el avión juntando las tres piezas.

Si sientes aflorar tu vena creativa, puedes incluso pintar la madera e imaginar cómo quedará el avión cuando se junten todas las partes. El resultado será el avión en el que siempre has querido viajar! :)

Federica & Co

Ayer estuve en el concept store Federica & Co, una tienda que no tiene nada de convencional. Lo que más me gusta de ella es que está en pleno centro (Hermosilla 26, Madrid), y es como un oasis.

No hay un cartel grande en la puerta con el nombre, simplemente una bicicleta antigua con un cesto de mimbre y unas  flores que sostiene una pequeña pizarra, avisa a los paseantes del nombre del lugar.

Un alto portal en forma de viejo callejón de piedra se abre para dar paso a un antiguo y muy grande patio interior.

Una vez dentro, es como si ya no estuvieras en corazón de la ciudad, porque lo último que te esperas es que vayan a vender desde ropa hasta plantas, muebles de todo tipo, o incluso un olor (sí, en Federica and Co te ayudan a encontrar un perfume único para ti y personalizado).

Después de subir y bajar escaleras antiguas y ver los árboles del patio interior adornados con luces colgantes ya no sabes si estás en una tienda española, francesa o italiana, pero vuelves a salir de allí, a la gran ciudad, con muchas ganas de volver pronto.

Yesterday I was in the concept store Federica & Co, a store that has no similarity to a conventional store.

What I like more, it´s that is in the heart of Madrid (Hermosilla, 26), and it´s like a large oasis.

There is no sign on the door, just an old bike with a wicker basket and flowers and a little blackboard with the name of the store on it warns pedestrians of the name of this place.

A large gantry and alley is open to introduce you in a big courtyard. Once you are inside, it´s as if you were not in the heart of the city, because you don´t expect that you can buy such a different things, from clothes to furniture of all kinds, plants, or even a smell (yes, they help you to find a unique perfume for you and customized).

After climbing the old stairs and see all the trees with full of hanging lights, you don´t know if you are in a spanish store, or in an italian or french one, but once outside you feel the necessity of return soon.
